Golden Week 2025#

Golden Week is the cluster of holidays from Shōwa Day on 29 April to Children’s Day on 5 May. In 2025 the longest unbroken stretch off is Sat 3 May – Tue 6 May, 4 days. It is the busiest travel week of the year, and many offices close for the whole of it.
