Online booking for rehearsal rooms
The whole business is consecutive hours. A gap between two bookings is not breathing room, it is money.
One 60-minute event type per room, offered every hour with no buffer, one hour’s notice, paid online with a twelve-hour refund window.
Held rooms and dead hours#
A band that reserves Saturday evening by message and does not turn up has taken your best slot for nothing, and you found out at 19:05. Meanwhile Tuesday at 14:00 sits empty because nobody can book it without waiting for you to reply.
The setup to start from#
Rooms hired by the hour, evenings and weekends, where the whole business is filling consecutive hours with no gaps.
| Duration | 60 minutes, offered every 60 |
|---|---|
| Minimum notice | 1 hour, so somebody can book on their way over |
| Buffer | None — back to back is the point |
| Max bookings per day | One event type per room, so each can be booked independently |
| Location | In person |
| Payment | Paid online, so the room is not held for nothing |
| Cancellation policy | Full refund 12 hours before, none inside |
Worth asking on the booking form: How many people? · Do you need to hire a drum kit or amps?
One account holds one diary, so a studio with three rooms runs three event types — one per room — rather than one with a capacity. It works, and it keeps each room independently bookable.
One event type per room#
Studio A, Studio B, the small room. Each independently bookable, each with its own price. A booking in one never blocks another, and the name can carry what matters: "Studio A — drums, PA, 25m²".
No buffer, on purpose#
Most trades need a gap. You do not. Leave the buffers at zero and set Show start times every to sixty minutes so bookings sit flush against each other.
Paid at booking#
It is the difference between a reservation and a booking. A twelve-hour refund window is generous enough for a band that loses a drummer and tight enough to resell a Saturday.
One hour’s notice#
People book rehearsal rooms on the way to them. A short minimum notice fills hours that would otherwise be lost.

Common questions
How do I take bookings for several rooms?
One event type per room. Each is booked independently with its own price and description, and a booking in one never blocks another.
How do I get bookings to sit back to back with no gaps?
Leave both buffers at zero and set Show start times every to match the duration. Bookings then sit flush against each other.
Can people book on the day?
Yes — set Minimum notice to one hour, which is how most rehearsal bookings happen.
