Your booking page and links
You have two public addresses: a page listing everything you offer, and a direct link per event type. This page walks through what a customer actually sees, so you know what you are sending them into.
Your two kinds of link#
| Address | What it shows | Send it when |
|---|---|---|
app.marubox.jp/your-handle |
Your name, your photo from your Google or Microsoft profile, and a list of everything bookable with its length and price | You want people to choose — put this one in an email signature or an Instagram bio |
app.marubox.jp/your-handle/event-name |
That one appointment, straight to the calendar | You already know what they want — replying to an enquiry, or a "Book a consultation" button |
Copy the direct link from the Copy link button on any row of Booking → Event types. Your handle is in Settings.
Only event types that are visible and set to Anyone with the link appear on the listing page. If nothing qualifies, visitors see Nothing is open for booking right now.
What the customer does, step by step#
- They pick a day. A month calendar shows only days with times left. Their time zone is detected and shown, and they can change it — useful for a client abroad.
- They pick a time. Times are in their own time zone, and the count is shown as, for instance, 6 times available.
- The time is held for them. A countdown appears: This time is held for you for 4:58. Nobody else can take it while they fill in the form — 5 minutes for a free booking, 30 minutes for one that needs paying. Abandon it and the time goes back on sale.
- They fill in the form. Name and email, plus whatever questions you added.
- They confirm. A free booking is confirmed on the spot. A paid one goes to Stripe's payment page and is confirmed once the payment succeeds.
If two people go for the same time at once, the second one is told That time was just taken. Please pick another. and the calendar reopens — no double booking, and nothing they typed is lost.
The customer's own booking page#
Every booking gets its own private address, linked from every email the customer receives. It is theirs for the life of the booking and shows:
- The time, in their zone and in yours if the two differ.
- The location, with a Join meeting button for video calls.
- What was paid, with a receipt link.
- Your confirmation message, if you wrote one.
- Add to calendar (.ics) and a one-click Google Calendar button.
- Reschedule, if you allow it and they have not used up their moves.
- Cancel booking, which previews the refund first if they paid.
This is why you rarely need to handle a change yourself: the customer can move or cancel their own booking, inside the rules you set.
When bookings are paused#
If a connected calendar stops working, your page says Bookings are paused right now and offers no times at all, rather than risk double booking you. You get an email about it, and Booking → Calendars shows what to reconnect. See Reconnecting a calendar.
Where to put your link#
- Your website. Better still, embed the booking flow so nobody leaves your site — see Add booking to your website.
- Your email signature. Use the listing page.
- Google Business Profile. Add it as your appointment link, so people booking from Maps land straight on it.
- Instagram or LINE. The listing page again.
- A reply to an enquiry. Use a single-use invite link, which works once and skips the anti-spam checks.
Common questions
What is my booking page address?
It is app.marubox.jp/ followed by your public handle, which you can see and change in Settings. Adding an event type’s name on the end links straight to that one appointment.
How long is a time slot held while someone books?
Five minutes for a free booking and thirty minutes for one that requires payment, counted down on screen. If they abandon the form, the time is released for someone else.
What happens if two people book the same slot at the same time?
The first to confirm gets it. The second sees "That time was just taken. Please pick another." and the calendar reopens with their details still filled in. You can never be double booked this way.
Can customers cancel or reschedule by themselves?
Yes, from the link in their confirmation email — within the limits you set on the event type’s Scheduling tab. You can allow between 0 and 20 reschedules and set a cut-off before the start.
Does the booking page work on a phone?
Yes. Your booking page, the customer’s own booking page and the whole app are built for a phone screen first.
