A full set is two hours and an infill is one. A client who books the wrong one does not just inconvenience themselves — they wreck the afternoon for everyone after them.

One wrong booking, four late clients#
Lash work is unusually unforgiving of scheduling errors because the appointments are long and the day is packed. Someone booking an infill slot who actually needs a full set puts you an hour behind, and there is no slack to recover it.
The second problem is fatigue. Isolating lashes for six hours is different from six hours of most other work, and the quality shows it. A cap is a quality control, not a limit on ambition.

Two event types, and ask when they last came#
Full set at 120 minutes, infill at 60. On the infill, ask on the form when their last appointment was — beyond three weeks it is usually a full set, and you would rather find out at the booking than at the door.
Cap the day#
Set Max bookings per day on the full-set event type to four. The calendar stops offering them once you are at your limit, and infills can still fill the edges.
Payment on the long ones#
Full sets paid online with a twenty-four-hour refund window; infills in person. It protects the appointments that would actually hurt to lose.

Common questions
How do I stop clients booking an infill when they need a full set?
Ask on the infill booking form when their last appointment was, and say in the description that beyond three weeks it counts as a full set. You then see the answer before the day.
How do I limit how many full sets I do in a day?
Set Max bookings per day on the full-set event type. Infills remain bookable, so your day still fills without the quality dropping.
Should I take payment when they book?
For full sets, yes — they are long and hard to refill at short notice. Infills can stay paid in person.
