Spouse visas, Highly Skilled Professional, permanent residency, business manager and the change of status of residence are each a different consultation with different documents. Separate event types let somebody book the right one and read the document list before they arrive.

Paid, so the slot means something#
A fixed fee taken at booking, with a full refund outside forty-eight hours. It ends the free-advice problem without deterring anyone who actually needs you.
Video, because half your clients are not here#
Set the location to Google Meet or Teams. Overseas clients see your availability in their own time zone and get a link with their confirmation, and nobody has to work out what 14:00 JST is in Manila.
Ask the four things that decide the advice#
Current status of residence and expiry, target visa, nationality, and whether they are currently in Japan. On the booking form, so the consultation starts at the second question rather than the first.

Common questions
Can clients outside Japan book a consultation?
Yes. Set the location to video, and they see your Japan availability converted to their own time zone and receive a meeting link with their confirmation. They pay by card in yen from anywhere.
How do I stop free-advice calls filling my diary?
Charge for the consultation and take the payment at booking. The appointment is only confirmed once the card clears, which removes the people who were never going to engage you.
Can I have different consultations for different visa types?
Yes, and you should — each with its own name, price, duration and document list. Clients pick correctly and arrive prepared.
How do I tell clients what documents to bring?
Put the list in the event type’s confirmation message. It is included in the confirmation email and repeated in every reminder.
